On June 27, 2010, God gave another increase to CBC’s membership. Batasan Hills flourished again as a harvest field for Cornerstone Baptist Church! Of the nine new members that were added to us, four are from Batasan Hills. They are Bong and Merle Apolinar and Albert and Zenaida Calilong. Prior to this baptism, the Apolinar couple’s eldest daughter, Rosemarie, and the Calilong’s mother, Nanay Zeny, were baptized. Another family, the Escabases, are scheduled to be presented to the church before the end of the month as transferees. The Lord has indeed allowed unfavorable circumstances, like the fire we experienced last year, to lead us into his new harvest field!
The rest of the newly baptized members were products of various ministries and outreaches of the church. Two of them came from Concepcion, Tarlac, where we have a mission outreach. Having the desire to follow the Lord in baptism, they went with our female missionary, Sis. Linda Veracruz, to Quezon City. They are the latest addition to a growing number of baptized believers in Concepcion. The other new member was product of her father and another one of her Sunday School teacher. Still another was the fruit of the evangelistic efforts of one of our church couples among their officemates. Their two other officemates are also considering to be baptized. Amen for the Lord’s goodness to His local church!
The perimeter fence of the CBC building was completed on the first week of July, thereby providing greater security and protection to the church premises. Thank the Lord for this goodness. However, the gates are another necessity to completely close the property from unauthorized persons. We are begging the Lord to provide for the gates and, eventually for the Sunday School rooms. | Upcoming Events
Mission Conference - (October 29-31, 2010) The granting of Independence to Villasis, Pangasinan Mission Church pastored by Ptr. Luis Hitosis will be the highlight of the event together with the biblical preaching of God's word.

The CBC Mission in Legazpi City Albay, led by Pastor Roy Raquintan, celebrated their 13th anniversary on July 4, 2010. It was attended by Pastor Jed, his wife, Eden and their son, Joseph. God blessed the work with a newly painted church building, new pews, and a new organ. The Lord also blessed the brethren with two new additions to its membership – two young people who were baptized that day.
On August 27-29, CBC, QC will hold the third Apologetic Conference. Members will sure profit by listening to the word of God so that each one may learn how to defend our position on issues touching the doctrines of the Bible. A month later, on September 13-17, CBC will host for the second time the Masteral Extension Program in partnership with Bible Baptist Church and Bible Baptist Theological Seminary led by Dr. Thomas M. Strouse. This program is meant to equip preachers and ground them deeper in the faith.
